Emma just turned one and I was so thrilled to capture her first year photos! We did a milestone session with floral accents and also included family and cake smash photos for a full on session! This little one was cracking me up, she kept running away and the cake was incredibly hard to smash which made for more humor. This mom really wanted some pictures to hang on her walls and I’m happy to report that we succeeded!
For these first year photos, we spent lots of time coordinating the details to make it just perfect. I love the colors and tones and am happy we put forth the extra effort to style the session. For milestone sessions, I use both the natural light in my studio and sometimes use a studio light and backdrop for a different look. Typically I use the studio light when parents want me to come to their home for baby’s first year photos. Here is an example of an in-home milestone session, what do you think?
