This Atlanta family wanted their daughter’s first birthday milestone and family session to be taken right in their Atlanta neighborhood at the Historic Oakland Cemetery. You wouldn’t think a cemetery would be first pick for a milestone session but oh you would be wrong! There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies there and I promise no gravestones in the photos at all ; ) They really keep up the gardens and grounds really well over there at Oakland.
We did this session early in the morning to capture that soft morning light. Babies romper is by Jamie Kay and I’m completely in love with it! My favorite parts of this session is the white washed brick, the cactus plant, their clothing choices, and of course that morning light peeking through. Mom had a vision for this session and I’m so glad we we’re able to capture it!
